Banner Information
We currently offer several "image" and "text / HTML" advertising positions plus the very special Site Skin position.
Image banner positions:
- 728x90 "Standard Banner"
- 300x250 "Square Banner"
- 120x600 "Skyscraper Banner"
- 160x600 "Skyscraper Banner"
- 90x90 "Sponsor Banner"
- 468x60 "Small Standard Banner" (in the Email Newsletter)
Graphical banners can be in GIF, JPG, PNG, SWF or HTML formats.
SWF (Flash) banners MUST adhere to certain requirements:
- SWF banners may NOT include sound.
- A backup GIF, JPG or PNG banner MUST be provided. This backup banner will be delivered if the user's web browser does not support Flash (because they have it disabled or it is not available - e.g. on iOS devices such as the iPad, iPhone, etc.)
- To enable Click Throughs to be logged a clickTAG must be used, rather than an embedded URL. We use Google's DoubleClick for Publishers (dfp) to deliver image advertising at KVR. For reference, these are Google's guidelines for proper clickTAG implementation.
Essentially the banner must include the following code (exactly as it is, without modification or additions). The click-through URL is assigned to the banner by our banner serving script when it is delivered. Please note that the code is case sensitive and the "_blank" argument is required to ensure it opens in a new window:

Text / HTML Advertising positions:
- "200x200 Image + Text" in emails (incl. Weekly Newsletter)
- "Featured News Item" on the news headline pages (including the KVR Audio front page)
- "Featured What's New Item" on the "What's New @ KVR" sidebar ("News" Tab)
- "Featured Video" on the KVR Right Column (below the Quick Search) plus landing page video in the "Video" section (AND top video in the "Featured" column on that page)
Site Skin
The Site Skin position consists of a background image that frames the KVR Audio home page and news pages. The image is clickable.
Anyone who visits KVR Audio using a screen resolution greater than 1024x768 will see the Site Skin banner on either side of the home page content.
Specifications and requirements:
- A static image file in JPG, PNG or GIF format (NOT animated)
- Maximum File Size: 250KB
- Image Size: 1920 W (max [1620 min]) X 1200 H (explicit). If you supply an image narrower than 1920 please fade to HEX #333333 / RGB (51, 51, 51) or ensure that your banner finishes in a complementary manner to that color.
- Center area: 1004 W x 1200 H. This area should be the same background color as KVR to prevent any odd display issues: HEX #333333 / RGB (51, 51, 51).
- Recommended size of live area where messaging appears: 130 W x 800 H (so content will be easily viewable by visitors using a 1280x800 screen resolution - the most popular with our visitors). You can of course expand further out for those with higher resolutions, but be careful not to cut of your message.

728x90 "Standard Banner"
| Overview: | 728x90 "Standard" banners are shown in rotation over the whole of KVR Audio for a period of your choosing (usually a minimum of a month / 28-day period). i.e. if you purchase 100,000 banners for a month they will be shown evenly over the course of the month. You can of course choose to have the banner(s) displayed over a shorter period if required (e.g. 14 days) resulting in a higher visibility but a shorter campaign. |

Email 200x200 Image + Text
| Overview: | Text Adverts are shown in all emails sent out to KVR Audio members including the weekly newsletter (96,000+ subscribers), news notifications and forum topic reply notifications. |

| Format: | The text ad should consist of around 50 words plus a link. The weekly newsletter is sent in Plain Text and HTML formats (KVR Audio members can choose which they receive - currently over 96% of members choose to receive the HTML version). The HTML version allows for a 200x200 image (banner) to accompany the text advert. |
| Dimensions: | The image should be 200x200; GIF, JPG or PNG (NOT animated). |

Featured News Item
| Overview: | The "Featured News Item" HTML ad position at KVR gives you a high visibility campaign on the KVR home page and news section headline pages. Please see the KVR home page for the current example. Essentially, the news item is "stuck" at the top of the news headline list and shows "FEATURED NEWS ITEM" (instead of the news item's post date) for a fixed 7 day period. The advertiser guarantees themselves 7 days of prime exposure on the KVR home page, which should coincide with an important news announcement such as a new release or major update. It is important for KVR that this is only a "sponsored" headline, and not a full blown advert. KVR retains editorial control over the contents of the news item and it must only be for news items that KVR would normally post. NOTE: The original news item and Featured News Item do not have to appear at exactly the same time - KVR endeavors to post news as quickly as is humanly possible and would prefer not to hold a news item back just because a sponsored headline is not due to begin for a few days. So, a news item could be posted several days before the sponsored headline is scheduled to begin which means that this is also a good way to "bump" your headline back to the top. |

Featured What's New Item
| Overview: | The "Featured What's New Item" HTML ad position appears at the top of the What's New @ KVR Sidebar under the News tab. This is similar to the Featured News Item above except it appears in the right column of every page at KVR (when the News tab is visible). The advertiser guarantees themselves 7 days of exposure on the KVR sidebar, which, like the FNI, should coincide with an important news announcement such as a new release or major update. It is important for KVR that this is only a "sponsored" headline, and not a full blown advert. KVR retains editorial control over the contents of the news item and it must only be for news items that KVR would normally post. |

Featured Video
| Overview: | KVR now features a Video section where developers can post any relevant video regarding their company and products (tutorials, behind the scenes, promos, etc.). The video section currently supports YouTube hosted content only. The "Featured Video" ad position enables you to promote your video and so get more people to view it. It gives you three things: |
