128 different impulses. It took me a week to take these impulses and I assure you they sound almost identical to the unit itself. Embarassed

Goto:

http://www.noisevault.com/index.php?page=3&sid=03b03d79a89ab110260cced 3401fdff0&PHPSESSID=60d2611015d6d52491ce1f50172f9e15&action=file&cat_i d=12&id=50

and click download (just 121K...but kicks some major butt).

Do not forget to read the info.

And, let me know how you lik'em. Wink

(if the link does not work, goto: www.noisevault.com and click "impulses" on the left. and then "preamps" at the buttom of the page and finally "Line6 pod impulses" again at the buttom)

Use SIR, perhaps?

@silent223: dude acoustic mirror cannot capture the hi gain stuff. only clean. however using mda combo or predethom (sd1,ds1 and especially the tube screamer plugins included in the gsuite package works very well too) in front of those impulses you can achieve hi gain sounds VERY similiar to those on pod. speaking of programming your own, that is real pain in the neck and takes several minutes to capture even 1 pod sound. if you are a masohist like me let me know and i can teach you how to make your own. Laughing

check this tutoial about using the acoustic mirror for making your own sounds from sonic foundry:

@mighty_hero: you need sonic foundry's acoustic mirror (a dx plugin that can capture the sound of any lineer envorinment which means amps, preamps, microphones, compressors, limiters, halls, churches, rooms,etc) for using those files (the freeware vst plugin SIR is exactly the same however it does not work with short files like my pod impulses...only long ones such as reverb impulses).

Hmmmm.... Cant confirm at the moment but I wasnt aware that SIR had problems with short impulses... interesting...

There's a very cheap CoolEdit-only convolution plugin, BTW. Its offline editing only, though.

@mighty hero

in a realtime environment such as fruityloops, Acoustic mirror will not work so well, it takes alot of cpu.

@silent223: you are right if we are talking about long impulses, however with short ones (like mine) acoustic mirrors cpu consumption is almost ignorable. i run 8 instances of acustic mirror with those pod impulses loaded and monitor the guitar real time without any problems (10ms latency-amd 1200 and a sblive with the kxdrivers installed).

you can find the ultra low latency kxdriver package (asio for sblive) here:
