Hi there

We are in the middle of a major update of our Qwah multi-band filter and though people might be interested in current state of play

Qwah2 has 3 more filter types, comb, ring mod and formant, and the phaser has been updated so you can change the number stages.

Each of the filters now has a chorus, delay, compressor/noise gate.

Six different distortion effects can be applied to each filter and the final output pass through an amp simulator with 5 different amp models.

The number of filter paths have been increased from 3 to 8 and feedback from the final output to any of the filters is included.

The number of LFO has been increased from 8 to 16 and most of the controls can be modulated by these LFO's

These are the major changes, there are lot more minor updates/changes

Here is an example a guitar before and after using Qwah2 (in this case only use one of Qwah's 4 filters), http://www.concretefx.com/PreQwah.mp3 and http://www.concretefx.com/Postq2.mp3.

The full version should hopefully be out in the next couple of weeks

Cheers

looks nice ... i mean ..looks goooood

but erm .... i have so many :

ring modulaters / boosters / filters / delays / distorters / choresses / reverbs / compressors / limiters / gates / flangers / wah wahs

will the list of these type of effects ever stop ?

having said that i must say i like the idea this plug has it all in one

will the delay section have a tempo sync ? i must say the examples sound impressive

will it have midi controll so one could use it with a footpedal like a real wah wah / talkbox or whatever guitar effect ?

Hi there

The delay tempo, lfo , step sequencer are all tempo-synced (including autosyncing) and the filters etc will be controllable by midi.

erm ...did you say .....step sequencer
i missed that one ! sounds mega cool
this means you can draw a sequenced effect i guess ?
this makes the plugin even more tempting
what about the midi controll ? any plans on that or is this too time consuming ... or perhaps unwanted ?

Hi there

Sorry about the links, having some problems with my website today!
Qwah2 will be £35, it will have midi control of the filter and step sequence/Lfos resets on midi notes

Cheers

Hi there

What Moroe said was very interesting. We have added a mode where Qwah2 monitors the volume of the input sound, and if it detects the start of a sound it resets the LFO and step sequence. Combined with the ability to set the loop point of the step sequence, then you can create attack/decay/sustains envelopes which are triggered with each new note (hopefully)

hi concretefx

isnt it better to look for a incoming midi note on message to restart the sequencer and lfo“s ???

because if i am playing a pad sound with long release (delay or reverb effect on the sound) maybe the monitoring of the sound input could detect no new input

btw: i am so happy that you put my feature request in your plug
would be cool when your other plugs have the same feature

Hi there,

Thanks for the message Moroe, your idea on incoming notes was very useful. About midi notes, as well as Qwah2 looking for new sounds starting, you can set the reset mode so that it can detect midi notes from other tracks and if it recieves any notes-on information from this track this resets the LFO and step sequencers.

Any other ideas, would be most welcome

Cheers

No ideas, yet, but this effect is getting very interresting, as is the quick responce from the developer to add user ideas. Smile
