AuthorTopic: Any other vocal plugins do this?

In the newest Keyboard magazine I saw an advertisement for VoiceModeler for the Powercore by TC Electronics. Supposedly this thing can change vocals to be more throaty or breathy and whatnot rather than just change pitch. The ad said to check out the demo and listed a web address which only contained a press release and a link to another site which had the same. Three websites later there's still nothing but a press release (geniuses huh?). Anyway, does anyone know of any DirectX or VST plugins out there that do the same job? Thanks.

VoiceModeler is developed by TC-Helicon. You can find demos of their stuff at their website: www.tc-helicon.com

I don't know of any other software that can do the same thing. sonicWORX Artist and sonicWORX Studio from www.prosoniq.com can do a fair bit of vocal processing but not in the same league as the TC-Helicon software.

Throaty, breathy? I use a plug in called 12.5g of golden Virginia tobacco. Very Happy

Seriously though isn't Melodyne supposed to be able to do all this formant shifting type of thing?

Yes, for formant shifting there are quite a few alternatives. I was thinking more about the throat/breath/growl/rasp kind of thing.

I think sonicWORX has a Virginia Tobacco preset Very Happy
