Nooo!! Say it aint so! Crying or Very sad

After reading up on those incredible Free Plugs from Digitalfishphones (like Blockfish) at http://www.tapeop.com/ , I went to the website and the Digitalfishphones site is dead! Crying or Very sad Sad Crying or Very sad

How can I get a hold of these juicy joints? Is there a mirror site for the free plugs? Can anyone who might have these freebees paste a link to them??

Thanks! Very Happy

they're pretty much gone unless sascha decides/is allowed (whatever the case) to host them himself..

I have both the 1.0 and the 1.1 zips of fish fillets... but after reading the pdf that came with them.. realize i cannot (and will not) be allowed to send them or host them.. (this goes for everyone else too)

PLEASE DO NOT HOST THIS SOFTWARE ON THE NET FOR YOURSELF. ALWAYS POINT A LINK TO MY PAGE (http://www.digitalfishphones.com) TO MAINTAIN UPDATED PROGRAM VERSIONS!!! Thank you Wink

and further down the last page (pg 12):

This is awful indeed. Blockfish was absolutely amazing and compared against any commercial VST compressor I've ever laid my mouse pointer on and it holds it's own damn well against the best of them (try it on an electric bass if you don't believe me).

On the bright side though...we may now have the first RARE VST dynamics processors. In ten years I can just see these plugs selling for hundreds on e-bay with the title "Vintage and Rare VST compressor, Blockfish v1.1", as the prices of hardware comps just drop. Perhaps ten years from now Sascha will re-emerge and reissue these beasts. And us [then] old folk can talk about how the reissues just lack that special quality of the original plugs.

Or maybe not... Razz

Damn fine plug-ins though.

Alan looks like we think alike, must be our locations (I'm only about 15 minutes away from Manhattan here in Jersey and spend far too much time and money on booze in the city). I didn't see your thread until just now but we were definately on the same page in regards to our ebay humor.

Ahhh Jersey...Home sweet home...Anyhow I hope the plug situation gets sorted out. Amazing plugins! Constantly in use on my machine.

I'm pretty pleased as a Samp user, but it's a shame that he's taken his original plugs down.

I guess Magix possibly made him do it?
