THANKS TORBEN!!!!! The Classic series is awsome. I use it all the time. This is a very nice reverb. Thanks for spliting the presets into regular and sends Smile. THat was a good idea. I wish other verbs did this, such as Ambience, and Reason's RV7000.

Wow, the Classic series is really a God-send.

Thanks Torben I am downloading it now. The Classic limiter/chorus/flanger are my default fx. Wonderful stuff! Smile

Thank you AD80 Smile

One of the beta testers suggested that the presets was send effects instead of the originally insert effects so I did both.

I'll have to check that out later! Hopefully it's a decent little reverb, and doesn't eat CPU like crazy like Ambience.

Thanks, Torben! You can never have too many reverbs! This one is sort of smooth & round-sounding (?); CPU hit is similar to Freeverb2's. Is this the last plugin in the Classic line?

First it will be a Chorus & Flanger plugin with even smoother sound than the Classic Chorus and Classic Flanger. It will have 2 LFO's with 11 waveforms each, delays from 0.05 to 600 ms, extreme high feedback levels with controllable filters, Host sync and much more.

Later I got a few other ideas I am working on Wink

It's useful.
It sounds airy.
It's easy to handle.
It DOESN'T sound static, flat and artificial like a lot of other reverbs.
It's cpu-friendly.
It's FREE !!!

Thanks a billion !!!

Tried Classic Compressor on an acoustic drum mix tonight.

It was very nice.

It kept all the nuances I'd programmed in, pumped the kick up a bit which was what I wanted, and overall gave the drums more natural presence against a sharp biting bass.

Thanx Cool

last night i tried out SIR that required downloading a lot of large of IR files. I played a wav drum loop and had some fun listening to all the differnt plates and rooms and halls

then i tried Classic Reverb and nothing I tried with SIR brought that wav file to life like the drum room preset on Classic Reverb. just so much clear presence -- nothing went murky -- very very nice. Thanks.

Great, this little reverb - about a quarter the cpu usage of Ambience and OldSkool - Reverb but comparable in quality - especially fine on drums -
i must correct myself: the best drum reverb i have ever heard on vst basis.

Thank you very very much !

it doesn't matter to me anymore as sadly torben wont be making mac verions Crying or Very sad , but torben's fx have such nice elegant dll names it would be a shame to ruin them with v number...Krim, you could rename it yourself when you download it, or rename the zip archive..

but the version number on the gui itself is a gr8 idea

Hey Torben

Torben,

Just used your reverb finally, after d/ling it a few days ago. I thought it was going to be another crappy reverb, like most of them (just checked out BlueLine reverb. HORRBILE just as I expected.) Well, I have to say I've been pleasantly surprised. Finally something that surpases Logic's PlatinumVerb, and actually holds up against a few of my favorites like the Pulsar's MasterVerb. I also like that it uses only around 5%-10% of my CPU instead of Ambience's typical 18-20%, so I might actually use it! Smile Still, it's got a ways to really FULLY compete with my Eventide, but then again, the Eventide has pages and pages of parameters to tweak with too, and also cost considerably more. Wink At least the reverb is NOT RINGY! That's what drives me nuts with most of them!

So two thumbs up here! Very nice plug, and it's FREE and easy on my CPU. Can't complain. Smile

So, any chance of you coming out with a phaser plugin? That's what I'd really like to have. Very Happy

Hi Torben,

Just wanted add my thanks... I've not had a chance to try out the reverb yet (but looking forward to it a lot). Anyways, just wanted to say I'm loving these guys particularly the flanger (which surprised me as I've not been excited by flangers before even though I'm guitar player) Smile and the master limiter is a wonderful peice of work. I don't have anything that compares to that one at all...

Cheers.

Here is a list of planned Classic Plugins. There might be other ones and there might be some of the Plugins on this list that will never get released, but it shows what I got in mind right now.

Classic Delay
Classic Tremolo
Classic Overdrive
Classic Vocoder
Classic EQ
Classic De-esser
Classic Filters
Classic Noisegate
Classic Leslie

Thanks

Wow Torben nice list. I think a good phaser would really round out the list perfectly. I'm particularly looking forward to the Tremolo (please include the choice of sine and square waveforms with the ability to blend between the two and tempo sync Smile ), the Leslie (really looking forward to this, I trust you'll make it great), the Overdrive (have a particular stompbox in mind with this one?), and the vocoder. Aside from that a Phaser would be great too (just thought I'd repeat myself Smile ). As for the filters and the delays, I'm sure they'll be good, but in all honesty the VST market is already saturated with these so they're just a little less exciting.

Aren't parenthesis great?

YOU are thanking US??????

What a man, Torben, wow, who can say enough good things about you. This is simply amazing, thanks for making such an incredible contribution to the availability of quality free plugins. I got my start with VST thanks in large part to the various free offerings available, and in the last 2 years become in a position (and more serious about my hobby) to afford to give something back to the developers by purchasing some of the commercial stuff I'd been lusting after!

Your incredible free stuff is sure to inspire so many people, novice and pro alike. It's really a great thing you are doing, the community is extremely lucky to have someone like you.

All the best (and a million thanks....)

Torben,

There is one delay that I have on my Pulsar II. It's a pattern delay. It gives you 4 points per quarter note over one full measure, and allow you to pan each delay however you like, and trigger with each position. Be nice to have it as a VSTi. Smile High and low pass filters are also welcome too on these. Smile I don't see very many pattern delays out there, but tons of other delays.
