hello...
i know there are tonnes of delay plugins out there but i can't find one that suits me just right. there are some neat ones in Orion, but the problem i have with them is that i cannot assign the knobs to my midi controller like with most delays! the other ones i have seen are either way too complicated (i just want a mono or stereo delay, with a filter that doesn't overload itself too much), or are based on synthedit, which is a problem because when shortening the delay time it speeds up the sample and that's not what i want.. good delay plugins don't do that. can anyone recommend a good simple delay vst that can be controlled via midi (it'd be nice to be able to set a channel) and has a filter, and just works nice? oh, and free too

I use the PluginSpot (Imageline) "Delay 2" it is a simple mono/stereo delay with Lp filter, no resonance, no overload, perfectly sinced to host even if you change the tempo, very low on the CPU and simple.
Not free but very cheap, it comes in a mastering pack, with a stereo enhancer and a parametric Eq, these plugs IMO are a must. http://www.pluginspot.com/

Maybe you will find one here:

I second you Matias. Those plugins are a must have.
Plus, you get the excellent Parametric Eq and stereo enhancer at the same time. For $29.00, it's a no brainer. You can actually demo these plugins before buying them. Try delay 2! Once on the plugin spot, click on demo's, then download the mastering pack.

The analog delay plugin by MDSP of Smart Electronix does everything you're looking for.

Huh...? Oh yes they do..! REAL delays DO behave like that if you adjust the rate control while it's processing a signal. They've been doing that since the days of tape delay, and may they continue to do so.

okay, then i want one that simply chops the end off the delay buffer instead of compressing it to a shorter time i wish i knew how to code!
