AuthorTopic: DSound Stomp'n FX vol 2, any good?

Hi all,

I'm thinking about getting the DSound Stomp'n FX (vol 2)? Can anyone tell me if it's any good? I've tried the GT player demo and it sounds ok to me (can't really compare). Would you rather recommend some other guitar FX?

BTW, it seems DSound doesn't sell this effect as a stand alone product anymore, only as part of their GT player. Can it still be used with any VST host (like Cubase), do you know? Question

Regards, Peter

of course, the plugins themselves are the same as before i.e. will work within cubase...as for the quality, i honestly cant remember..i tested the demo the day they were released but that was AGES ago...plus, i'm not a guitarist..

Heck! Since DT1 is even CL's favourite, I'm sure I couldn't go wrong. Thanks!

I'm trying to find something out, though... If I want to use GT player as intended (i.e. plug a guitar into the computer and process the signal with the Stomp'n effects), then record the output from GT using Wavelab, how would I actually do that!? I mean, the only output device available for GT is the sound card, but I want to route the signal to Wavelab. Is there such a thing as an audio loopback device to install? You guys have any idea? Help

wouldn't it just be easier to record directly into wavelab, and use the stompin fx in there? wavelab can host 6 effects (or more with version 4 i think) in realtime..ther's no reason for the dsound fx not to work well with wavelab

Oh, of course. Sorry. Me extraordinarily stupid. Let's see if we can find me amongst these emoticons to the left... Ah, here I am: Embarassed

Thanx! /Peter
