b) for if it wouldn't have such a price tag, it wouldn't be that good, would it?
c) how else would it convince a customer that it is so good if it hasn't such a price tag.

God those are some fuckin ugly UI's. Guess those big-buck price tags are especially imrepssive since they decided to concentrate on the code, and skip the extra cost of a graphic artist...

or a web designer ... check the white-on-grey text on the page for their bargain basement Coffee Ladder, a steal at only 299 .....

btw "Mittygate" is only their mid-price module, the prize for the most expensive SE creation ever goes to the flagship model Purple Compressor at 399

Hi,

i am serious about their purple compressor just to compare it to the hardware they mentioned, did any buy or hear this thing yet?

And about Synthedit, you can make your own code and modules in Synthedit as far as i know. So maybe this guy is just a DSP-Guru and a bad graphic designer who uses synthedit to make the GUI, but uses his own coded modules.

Any experiences?

Also where the hell to download the demo versions? All links seem to be disabled or something. Who would ever buy a plugin of 300$ without trying it out?!

with hold > ck big delay so upto 80sec as you know
switching between all the delays is fun and can result in some pretty wacky grooves testures etc.

And look at this super useful app that tracks down clicking...

That's a tenner too.

I mean, the least he could do is give Slate away for free with every copy Mittygate so you can find where that terrible clicking is coming from.

Well it looks like the developer, Mr Buick, is a little confused. He's not sure if he's a "freelance animating storyteller, music composer and technical author" or a "freelance journalist, consultant and musician/composer".

Doesnt seem to be much evidence of skill in any of these things at his website. But he will sell you anti-spam software (lotta spammers do that, funnily enough) PC case badges (!) 'herbal aids' and is promsing "A revolution in granular synthesis for the Windows PC platform !"

Who is Peter Buick?

Peter Buick has worked in the music industry for over 23 years. Lecturing in Music Recording Technology
and Multimedia for 9 years at Croydon College. He is also a freelance journalist with several published
books as well as writing regular articles for the UK music and computer press (Future, SOS, Ziff).

He ran the K2k Kurzweil Owners group for 2 years as well as Kurzweil technical support in the UK
for a year as well as developing software music titles like Dr Tiricc, SLAM and /G/A/S/.
Sound design and music composition projects have included multimedia projects for laser tag games arenas,
computer games and multimedia presentations, as well as writing/directing/composing an instructive play
(Virtual ChildBirth) performed at the Mayor of Croydon's Charity Gala.

With qualifications in electronics and a background in sound engineering, he has had a history in
broadcast (BBC Radio 4 years)manufacturing, retail and marketing. He has worked in marketing
roles for corporates and has a strong bias to Internet and New Media Publishing.

He runs Halion.co.uk and used to run VST_On-Line (an E-magazine for Steinberg Cubase Users) as well
as contributing regularly to Club Cubase UK and Club Cubase USA.

He is a prolific songwriter and needs some money so he can finish a song and to replace his extremely

This is obviously a joke. And I do think it's pretty funny. I'm sure these guys are laughing their asses off. More power to 'em if they can get someone to buy their products. Can you imagine how hard they laugh when someone buys something, it's the joke that keeps on giving.

Anyway, about the Purple Compressor. Funny as hell! I commend them on their humor.

Compressor by Buick (of course it's a brand name, must be good)

Valve dust

Valve Age / Fet Age

And of course there are pictures of 5 tubes. Just imagine the warmth this thing must have.

And last but not least there is the oh so important Battery saver button. Wouldn't want to waste any unnecessary power now would we.
