is there a vst recorder...
which could be used to record live improvisations on vst instruments.
I imagine it as being the last one in master section.

LSR records chunks in time with the track, so bars that can be used as loops. May not be what you're looking for, though.

Apart from that, Chainer and energyXT both record - at least in their standalone modes.
