Hi,

Has anybody come across a harmon mute effect for trumpet? or alternatively what sample library is best for this?

thanks in advance .... Smile

You could try something like the Coyote Wah (sorry I don't have the link). But a real Harmon mute not only acts as a filter, it also introduces some distortion into the wave, and this varies depending on the player and how hard they blow.

Maybe try a little overdrive before the filter/wah.

P.S. I speak as an ex-trumpet player. The best thing about that gig was not having to lug loads of equipment.
