Hello. This is my first post here.
I have tried really hard, but I couldn't make my kick to sound like this: http://members.lycos.co.uk/cezdor/drum.mp3 (to make the link work just copy it to your web browser) If anyone could help me with a reverb (delay?) choice to make my kick sound like that I would be greatful.

Ask Rene from rgc audio. That effect was made by a user of the .sfz format (Rene's) & he did something I do not understand using text files to exploit that sound. I'm not using soundfonts much at the moment, so what he explained went right over my head, but he explained it here in this forum, under RGC audio. Do a search as well for < sfz >
cya edit: I meant FORUM search for sfz

Reverb or delay? Not a chance. Stack your bass drums, then compress and limit the hell out of it.

I have managed to make a kick which satisfies me. Soon I will give a link to the mix with it. |
