I love noise, let me tell that upfront. I think it to be something quite musical Very Happy

But I ran into some unwanted noise this weekend. It seems my behringer tube is adding some unwanted noise to the mix. I love what its doing to the music so I want to keep using it, but is there perhaps a software solution to get rid of that bit of noise...

Most likely been asked before, but a little help here would be much appreciated Smile

Have you tried Behringer support. I swear it shouldn't be making that noise as the thing is even advertised as being good from removing unwanted noise!

hmmmm you are probably right there... I got this sorta second hand and the surround is not working either on it (not that I need it really).

... also.. I've not tried it but Audacity has a noise removal process...

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

It's one of these two step ones where you first give it a sample of just the noise and then it will remove that noise from the whole wav

Did you have any luck in the end?

Audacity clears the noise, but replaces it with some kind of gurgly noise which isn't bad, but not the result I rather wished for.....

Perhaps I need to look for a higher quality outboard FX...

It's just I have no clue where to start, or how to decide so I went for the cheap option Confused

Still need to try your other options you pm'ed and perhaps get some better (in this case shorter) cabling.

I'll get there though, the journey is one of learning and experimenting.....
