I have a Digi 001 hooked up to a PC running Windows XP. Haven't been able to use the GuitarRig demo... i've had no problems with other NI demos (Absynth, Reaktor) - but perhaps this is b/c that's MIDI and not a guitar through an input.
Anyone have an idea? GuitarRig was installed with RTAS but it doesn't show up in Pro Tools LE 5.3 list of plug ins. Nor can i get the input to function using the stand alone GuitarRig app. Does it only work with the floor/pedal board? javascript:emoticon(' ')

didn't you download the pedal board with the demo?

I don't have one of those teleportation receivers... do you think i need one?

well..if you think that you need the pedal board to run the demo can you tell me why on earth it's available for download, sans pedal board?
I got it running fine, but I'm not using Pro Tools. Sounds like yet another hastily released product from the beautiful ppl @ NI. They usually get things patched up *sorta* quick..have you posted anything to them regarding it?

I use my teleport reciever to get fresh Opium delieverd right to my doorstep every morning..I don't have to leave the comfort of my own home! as a note aside, maybe it's obvious, but did you check your audio set-up in teh stand alone prefs? I have several NI products that default into un-useable prefs that I had to straighten out upon install, like having to activate manually input from my Radium 61..I mean it's right there in the prefs, but I have to fucking click the 'yes' button to get it to function.. so look there I guess, otherwise, sell your Pro Tools & get Orion Platinum & a 828mkII

Thanks for the tips... i'll try what you suggested and see what happens. I have selected the Digi 001 in both audio input and output (which should be correct), since those are my only options that pop up in the select list. So GuitarRig does see my soundcard; don't know why it hasn't worked yet. You're right, i should make NI aware of it, since there are many folks out there with 001s.
The 001 is ok, but i can't run more than 1 audio application at a time - the apps fight over access to sound. For example i can't run Pro Tools LE and iTunes at the same time, only one. This is a problem on XP (what i'm running) but not on OS X (which i use at work). I am looking to upgrade my gear, maybe go with an RME Mulitface... |
