AuthorTopic: Guitar Rig problem?

I cant get NI Guitar Rig to work with my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro soundcard. It just crashes when you load it up.

The Rig works fine on my laptop which runs some Soundmax card.

I am wondering whether this has anything to do with the Audigy's 48,000Khz plus sample rate.

If anyone has any advice on this problem I would be most grateful.

Tony

You could try to disable the soundcard from within the 'hardware' panel in windows. Try if you can load and use the GR then.
You will not be able to hear it, so you have to watch and literraly see what happens; are meters showing input, does the plugin behaves as if sound is coming thru it.

This is only a test to see the inluence of the soundcard.

Yeah I have already tried this and yes it works when you disable the soundcard.

This is the why I know the card is the problem, the card runs at a minumum 48,000Khz and as far as I know does not support 44,000Khz. That said, there is an option in Guitar Rig to change the sample rate anyway. >>???

Still very confused but thanks for your help.
