So one of the basic Betabugs premise is to have as few gui controls as possible. I must admit, it is an attractive and fun concept. I look forward to trying out this new filter.

Mully (or lunch if hes about the place),

Can i suggest that this is placed in the KVR archive? (You just need to fill in the details on the submit page). Also, what about sending Ben et al at KVR management an email to ask them if we can have a news topic about BB?

It is nice to see the little bugger bunch growing and be sure that I'll dl as soon as I'm at home tomorrow and let you know how I like it.

But I'm biased anyway. I like it already, though I still dont know it. Wink

All the betabuggers keep up your good work.

Are there MIDI CC's mapped to the knobs or is it VST automation only?

if you download the installer file there's a PDF manual..... explaining all that.

but to cut a long story short:

Crayon responds to MIDI CC's

Cutoff 50
Resonance 51
Drive 52
LP on/off 53
BP on/off 54
HP on/off 55
NOTCH on/off 56
PEAK on/off 57

cheers,
mully

well yeah.... we wanted to keep the non-installer version as small as possible ...but we could include some more text in the read me Wink shouldn't make a big difference....

*PRmode*but the installer version offers far more than that.... it has a very nice installation process which isn't only simple and clear... it's also nice to look at Cool*PRmodeoff*

If there are any friendly mac dev's out there who are willing to help convert it we would be most grateful. I could in theory do it, but to be honest i HATE developing on mac (anyone whos used xcode will understand!!!)

I disabled the WWW tag (sorry, Im too unskilled), but on the positive side its about 4 times smaller (I made the color pallete 8bit).

Nice!! That's the quickest port I've ever heard of. Ridiculous! (in a good way)

Speaking in as unbiased a way as I can (and as a non-coder, non-creator on the team!), when I was testing out the Crayon Filter, it really helped me understand what filters are and how they can be used. I wasn't much of a filter guy before, but between this and a couple other forthcoming plug-ins from BBA, I'm really getting into the swing of it.

For some people, filters are second nature-- and for them, the sound and features of this one will still be a useful addition to their arsenal! For others, this might just be the perfect way to start using filters more regularly for both standard and 'creative' tasks!

It was ya git...

I've had some problems taming the bass. It's been out in beta form for a while - do some dev work and you can try it!

I've also been grinding away getting the pitchshifter working, writing a LoFi HiFreq enhancer (FloFi, to come soon), plus a few other ideas.

SVF should be dealt with soon, I've just got to clear my head first!

Glad to see that you've been doing some updating!
