Hi,
Ive been having a weird problem with ext on my laptop, its started emitting beeps, they start out about a minute apart and then get more frequent until its almost a constant. Ive asked Jorgen about this but got no reply and as ext is working well on my desktop, I wondered if anyone else was using the asio2ks drivers and if you've had any probs?

Jaybez, I've also had some beeps on my laptop, using ASIO2KS. Have you tried the other driver, ASIO4ALL?

cheers

its a relief to know its not just me with the problem!
I have given the asio4all deivers a go but I cant seem to find the correct settings for it, all audio gets sort of granulated or time/pitch warped, if you could suggest some working buffer sizes etc that would be great. Its on a realtek'97 sound chip by the way.

Cheers

the beta (only?) version of the asio2ks drivers beep. it's coded in - you'll find various timer calls in the code.

asio4all does seem stable and brought an old Vaio to life although i've not tried on the chipset mentioned above...

is there a non-beta or non-beeper version of the driver available?

Just checked the asio4all site and theres a newer version available than the one I currently have so I'll check it out when I get home.

i also tried ASIO4ALL with my onboard soundcard just out of curiousity but it seems it and energyxt don't like how the buffers are being set.
message box:
title: "failed to create buffers"
info: "256" , which changes for every size you try.
in the earlier version (1.24) i also got a c++ debug message about it (i can send a screenshot if you want), which i closed , and got an exception afterwards:
"00DF3B66".

i thought it was of minor importance though , but yet i am still curious if it's the driver or if energyxt could be made working with it , since those drivers seem to be working with almost any soundcard around and so i might be able to use energyxt with my laptop as well.
