hey all
im new to this program pretty much
love it bits, but ...

might be just me but does it need like a master start button? ive been using the midi parts and its a pain having to start them all individually, is there something im missing?

ive heard that sync to host transport is coming soon but how soon Smile i really need this feature for live

A 'master' start button could be useful Smile For now, you can add a midipart component to start all of the other midiparts Wink Each midipart track is mapped to a key C1, C#1 etc. So if you had one midipart with a dozen tracks in it, starting at C1 and running up to B1, you could add another midipart component with just the one track, enter notes for C1 through to B1 and connectthe output of this to the original midipart! Then when you click the play button on that track it will play C1-B1 which will toggle all the other tracks in the other midipart on!

Woah, sounds kinda confusing, but hopefully you'll get the idea!

i guess you need to use the sequencer module instead if you want to have it start all at once , that's where you find a 'global' start button as well

A start button hardly makes any sense!

What if you have some MIDI parts that you DON'T want to start with all the others? Shocked

It's more like a main on/off switch. Parts that are set to 'play' will only play when the main switch is also activated.

Cool

OK - I get it now!

If the start button is switched ON, then eXT wouldn't act any differently than it already does.

Yup!

And then I hope to be able to automate this switch, maybe even slave it to the synchronizer switch or something...
