AuthorTopic: "Stuck" legato envelopes?
unlinked
Posted: 19th April 2004 10:35
Has anyone encountered what I can only describe as "stuck" envelopes in EnergyXT VSTi?

Under circumstances which I can't explain exactly, certain envelopes stop triggering.

I have a MIDI patcher, which is cabled to 3 different envelopes all set to "legato" mode. The patcher is set up such that key C3 triggers the first envelope, D3 the second and E3 the third. Each of the envelopes modulates a parameter on a VSTi.

However, after a while, one of the envelopes (seemingly chosen at random) will just stop triggering while the other two envelopes continue to work.

If I switch the affected envelope to "sync" mode it then triggers correctly, but switching it back to legato once again makes it unresponsive. I can only imagine that the envelope still thinks there's a previous key being pressed?

Has anyone experienced anything similar, or offer any advice on what the problem might be?

I'm using the 14 Apr beta, hosted in Cubase SX 2.0.2.

Steve.
