AuthorTopic: Chords Transpose bug?
DarkStar
Posted: 13th May 2004 10:21
Version eXT VSTi 1.24

Using the Chords component, Transpose Mode, with the Chords Sequencer open.

I was trying a transpose below the root note. If the Sequencer mode is Up, Down or UpDn then transposes below the root note are ignored. (with Sequencer mode Off, these transposes are OK)

Am I missing something?

no, ...but it's worked this way as long as I can remember and still does in the latest betas. I never questioned it since I know enough to work around it, so it's not an issue for me. Hopefully jorgen will comment and let you know if there's a good reason for it.

(EDIT) here is one of my solutions...

By linking chords comps together you can get what your after. The first component will only have the root selected and you use it's sequencer to drive the other chord comp.

Hope that helps,

Thanks for the info.

Cascading Chords components has given me some more ideas too.

If I fix it, I hope it doesn't mess up anything? Is it ok?

Jorgen

it's OK with me, I's not too sure what it might mess up, unless someone's got some downward transposes that right now do nothing, but after the fix will work.

nF's workaround will still be OK
