AuthorTopic: Bug?: Step record in sequencer disabled.

Hi,

Just a question: When you add a sequencer to an eXT project, a midi connection from master in and a audio connection to master out is set up by default.
If you leave the audio connection to master out connected, the sequencer behaves as expected: When the sequencer starts playing a cursor sweeps from left to right to indicate the current position of the song, and it is possible to step record from a midi keyboard into a midi part in the sequencer.
However, if you remove the audio connection to master out, the play cursor disappears from the sequencer and no step recording from keyboard works anymore. Is this a feature (if so, what is its purpose?) or is it a bug? Smile

Tested version: Standalone & VSTi. Beta-12th of may (and some of the later betas as well).

Best regards,
Tomas

I'd call it a feature - as a memory-jogger that there is (is not) an audio path from the Sequencer.

BTW, the audio path does not need to be direct to Master Out, it can go via other components.

Well, one could look at it that way. On the other hand I never use the sequencer for audio purposes, I only use it to control other VSTi components outside the sequencer. So it is really weird from my point of view.

Well, I was just wondering Smile.
Thanks for the comment!
