AuthorTopic: Arpeggiator - Bug? in 12 May beta

Hi there,
I had saved some Arp Patterns under v.1.24. When I loaded them into the 12 May beta, only one note of the pattern was played then nothing. The VSTi was disabled and I had to delete it and insert it again.

If I created a new Arp and entered the same pattern then all was OK - I was able to play it, save the pattern, open it - all without problems.

As I was just experimenting, this is not too bad. But is there any difference between Arp patterns in v1.24 and the 12 May beta?

Any ideas? TIA

Care to post an example? I haven't peronally noticed this odd behavior.

A slightly different issue (don't mean to hijack!) but when you insert an Arp as a MidiFX and then use the arps 'Rec' option to play in a sequence the arp's graphics don't update like they should (and like they do when you've got an arp outside of the sequencer. Just a redraw issue I guess Wink

I think that there may be something wrong with the arp file itself - it causes the same problem when I load it in an Arp in eXT VSTi v1.24

Also, the problems arises in some VSTis (eg CM's DS-404) and not others (eg CM's Cm-303).

Weird, I think I will just delete that Arp file and use the new one.

Doh! Embarassed . . . My mistake, absolutely.

In my “problem” Arp pattern I had set up some CC data for CC#75. In the VSTi where I saw the problem, CC#75 switched the source keymap, that is chose another patch slot. Sadly, that patch slot was empty - so, no sound!

In the VSTi where the problem did not arise, CC#75 does not do anything.

Once I had cleared the CC data from the Arp pattern everything worked fine.

Silly me!

Still, is there any way I can see which CC# have data values set in the Arp comp (in MID Part and Sequencer I can look in the Event list).

Jorgen, perhaps you could consider adding the Event List to the Arp at some stage?

No, but I will add the arp functions to the MIDI Part Wink

Having just figured out how to view the MIDI part & sequencer event lists, I would suggest that it be made available in the same way as the transporter or composer - or maybe I should be asking why it isn't implemented in that way.
