AuthorTopic: A Couple Of Niggles And Ideas...

hi jorgen,

the envelope tracks are working nicely. really effective Very Happy

- after adding a new track in the sequencer (i've noticed with midi or envelope but it probably applies to all) the sequencer needs to be stopped/restarted (or sent home) before the track and any new parts/envelopes in it are recognized and play. maybe it can be picked up when the loop restarts?

- an extension to this and something that's been mentioned before is it would be really great if changes to parts took effect immediately as opposed to the next time they are looped.

- when adding a track after having added a send effect the new track's send is broken. shif's mentioned this too - hope this one can get fixed soon Smile

Idea how about an auto expand mode for the tracks in the sequencer? in a way it would be similar to the all/by track/auto function in the sequencer's mixer. for example if a number of tracks are minimized then when one is selected it will automatically expand to in-track edit mode. it will return to minimized when deselected. this would probably help a lot especially now the envelope tracks are there and the track list can grow quite quickly.

Idea similar idea could apply to auto expanding and collapsing folders.

Idea could the event editor hidden at the left of the midi part window become editable? it would be a nice place to be able to insert program changes for example.

btw the midi leds are nice now and the little envelope tracking line is superb.

cheers,

inigo

Here are a couple of ideas I'd like to see in the sequencer tracks.
1) If you could move the track name below the Mute/Solo buttons to keep it from getting cut off?

2)Add an LED in the audio tracks, similar to the new midi LED to indicate 0 vu. I'd like to see this tied to the audio input to help set record levels.

I'd like to see (1) as well, my track names always get cut off! And the 0db VU in Audio tracks sounds like a good idea.

I've got a question, if I have an insert effect on an audio track how do I automate it/send CC to it? As far as I can tell there is no 'Send midi to inserts' option for Audio tracks. (Unless I've missed it Razz)

Shif.

ik_ik_ik, auto-expand tracks is a cool idea. On my todo-list. I'm adding step recortding directly in the controller view, it's easier to insert program change there than in the event list. The event list will eventually be used to delete and modifiy.

MRT, good points. I'll see what I can do Wink

shif, audio track automation including insert's coming up Cool

Jorgen, i have a query on this elsewhere, but this seemed to dovetail so well. Any chance that pitch bend info would be modify-able from Event List? i have found no place in the whole app where i can view pitch bend data .. let alone modify it?

Hi all

Jorgen is it possible to have the playback pointer go all the way down rather than just at the top. When I am midi or audio editing I use the playback position pointer to accurately astablish where I am in the edit.

Cheers
