i have done some experiments with brainwave stimulation by means of the tool by bwgen.com and find it interesting material: audio vibrations to alter the state of your mind, to explore your inner space.
anyone had effective experiences with brainwave generation or wants to have his say about it?

I find this kind of stuff fascinating. Basically binaural beats are when you put a known frequency tone in one ear, and a different frequency tone in the other...the brain perceives the difference in the tones. Ex. 100hz in one ear and 120hz in the other, the brain perceives 20hz. I can't remember what that frequency does for you, but you get the idea. Even better than just binaural beats would be light stimulation. Basically a study was conducted and it was found that our brains had a frequency follow response...in short flash a light over our eyes at a specific frequency and the brain would match that frequency. Couple that with the knowledge of what frequencies do what in our brains (cause sleep, meditation, high energy, etc..) and they came up with machines like the ones on www.mindmodulations.com. I personally own the proteus, and have to say it's awesome. The Proteus also allows you to program your own sessions (if you so desire) and has dedicated software. There are also audiostrobe cds for use with this unit. Check out www.audiostrobe.com. These are also awesome...imagine a light show in your head perfectly synced to music or soundscapes. For what it's worth I personally feel these work like a champ, in doing a session I can feel it pulling me into a different state of mind. When it dips to the real low frequencies it has put me to sleep, and when it ramps back up it actually pulls me back out of the sleep state. There's many different programs for different things on the Proteus, like sleep, concentration, high energy, etc. Hate to sound like an ad, but I hardly ever get to talk about this kind of stuff (guess I'm kind of weird Embarassed ) Anyway, if you want to know any more let me know. Oh, also, the Proteus uses binaural beats as well on most of its programs...double the power!

Cheers

I am careful with the light stimulation, some audio experiments i 've done with Brainwave Generator were impressive enough for the time being, and of course there are some frequencies, which can be dangerous, want to learn more about the safe ways, don't want not to lose my mind, but this is alchemy! I will try out the light machines when I feel ready for it.

The only thing you have to worry about with the light is if you are prone to seizures. Other than that, you've got nothing to worry about. The only other thing I suppose would be if you were mixing...um...substances with it...then it might get pretty intense. I myself don't partake in illegal substances, but have tried a legal mix (salvia divinorium). If any of you are into strange voyages, give that stuff a try...but WARNING!!...please read all you can about this plant first. It can be a wonderful or terrifying experience. Go to www.sagewisdom.org for a start. You'll see this plant must be respected. I'm not going to go into the details of that, but if you find yourself interested and wanting to try (after you research it a bit) go to www.iamshaman.com for quality product and some of the best prices. I have tried Salvia from the Sagewisdom Shop on the first site I directed you to (and it was good) but no better than the stuff from iamshaman and WAY more expensive. There are also a lot of places out there with crap product...I won't name them...but just take my word on iamshaman. I suggest the plain leaf, or the STANDARDIZED 6X. Standardized means there is a known quantity of the chemical Salvinorin A added to the plant in addition to the salvinorin A it already contains. The non-standardized is less precise, and the amount of salvinorin A is not guaranteed. Anyway, once again this is not a commercial, I just know quite a bit about this kind of stuff and it's nice that some of you are into this kind of thing too. Salvia might be right up some of your alleys.

theres a noun called HemiSync that has put out volumes of tapes and cds for probably almost ten years now. Its explored at the Monroe Institute I think in Virginia (or Georgia) Alot of relaxation stuff, positive vibrations with pink or white noise in the back, some has music. But...they have a volume on consciousness expansion...has to do with going places... Shocked
there was a guy who wrote Cosmic Voyage who explained part of his remote viewing process...
be careful thar...

Yea I wouldnt boast about DMT quite so early in the thread

I have been using binaural entrainment for about 6-7 years now, and while it hasn't helped me to "view my body from a distance" it has really helped save my jawbone. I have an extreme bruxism complete with abscesses and rootcanals, and listening to selected pieces helped(helps) mellow me out and sleep more peacefully. I have used my own entrainment pieces for some hypnosis for people and it seems to aid in the inductive process. (However my experience here is hit and miss. Sometimes it hinders inductions) I have never had the money or equipment for the light entrainment though anecdotally, I have heard that it is more effective. Certain pieces/music are also very helpful for my migranes though, again, I have created pieces that caused headaches, too. (Very humiliating to try and cure yourself only to have to toss the headphones off and run for the ibuprofen bottle.)

I am very greatful to have stumbled onto the hemisync stuff some years ago. Though hit and miss, a couple of the tapes were very effective. After finding Ultradia, Now I can much more easily compose my own stuff. Sometimes the scene is pretty funny, as there is a lot of pseudoscience amidst genuine stuff.

ther are some tapes, similar to Bludad's comment that really help as pick-me-ups and help when you are sleep deprived. I would love to see some tunes or induction scripts posted in the Cafe.
Umm, 'k -I guess that means I should do it if I'm gonna ask for it.

I am not sure if I will ever actually make contact with UFO's while listening to my tapes.

That's fine with me if I can get a little better sleep. ANyways, I hope this thread generates a lot of discussion!

I know the scenes around this matter only fragmentary. However without pseudoscience or fringe science we cannot dream up the impossible, and reality is impossible. Established science is only true until someone comes out with another "proof"

Don't confuse the effects caused by binaural beats etc. with those caused by Salvia Divinorum. Binaural beats can induce a number of states including the typical 'trip' that can also be cause by LSD / Psylocibe / Cannabis / sleep deprivation / meditation / some illnesses and poisons etc.

Salvia, in sufficient quantities, will take you somewhere entirely more mind-blowing.

And it's legal in most countries!

I in no way intended people to confuse the effects of Salvia with the effects of binaural beats. I was simply offering up a suggestion for people like myself that want to dig a little deeper into the mind. This is why I posted links to websites with tons of information should people choose to learn, and I also posted a large WARNING and told people to research first.

For those interested, HemiSync stands for hemispherical synchronization (regarding left and right brain). This is basically nothing more than using binaural beats to acheive a desired frequency to utilize the frequency's known effects ie. theta waves (can't remember the freq.) can be used for meditative states. Good discussion!

Noone can guarantee pleasant experiences with brainwave entrainment. Can you imagine what effects a kundalini awakening or out of body experience can have? Certain frequencies you'd better not mess with, I think.

Well itd be interesting to have some elements that resonate well between hertz level and chakra level, Im sure there is. (Hmm how is that connected to the mind, er, through the mind) But maybe stabilize or help work out a cleansing or something. Its been said the (5) horizontal stone slabs (each vertically over each other with some 1'ish space between) in the Kings Chamber were each chipped away to match pitches like a to f. and the whole chamber resonates at A (or f). If you tap the sarcophagus the reverbs goes back to the same frequency of it (438?) excuse the morning Grandeur

I never seem to finish with the music like the Hemisync tapes. I just record the drones as that is enough to get the job done.
