I can't run it either. On WinXP by the way. It starts but when I click load plug I don't get the plug list. Also, Save and Load in the setup section don't create pop-ups. Nothing happens when I click them. I do get the ASIO messages when I select my input telling me how many ports I have to play with. But, when I select the MIDI in source the list in the instrument section has about 25 instances of the MIDI in channel.

I've assumed that the common dialogs you used are not available or screwed up somehow in XP. I tried using different compatibility modes but that doesn't help either.

save and load aren't working yet.

the reason you don't get popups is that you have a VSTPLUGINSPATH registry variable set (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VST\VstPluginsPath) but the directory it points to doesn't contain any plugs in the root folder. Delete the VstPluginsPath variable from your registry using RegEdit, and run SVH. It will now prompt you for your VST plugs location when it starts.

the reason you see all those midiport instances is that there's one for each -channel-, not just one for each port. so instance 1 is port1 channel1, 2 is port1 channel2 etc.. read the menu again and it will become apparent [Smile]

Sorry it runs, but it doesn't work on my system, can't remember why but it didn't do anything even though it loaded ok as such. Will check it out again over weekend and see if i can be more specific though I thought I had posted why in the original SVH thread.

Ok just looked at the main SVH thread still on the forum, but nothing there I think it was similar to people with the Delta soundcard not getting it to work, although I use a Terratec EWX2496. I know I posted a reply when people where giving feedback on it's initial release with details of the Terratec driver site and customer service in case it was any help. This thread appears to have fallen off the end of the forum! Anyway I know I am not alone in it not working, I was however interested in this from it's very first release, and have followed and waited for a new release, Angus was going to follow it up before his house move, but still there was no news, so perhaps as he has now said he is going to look at the Delata problem it may sort out mine too. I'm hoping!
