Help! One day I tried to start SX and it won't start. I've tried reinstalling but no results...The startup window loads all the vsts and DX plugins and when it reaches midi initialization it stops there and nothing happens, like I didn't start it at all...
Here's the log file: Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION Fault address: 77F52CD2 01:00001CD2 C:\WINDOWS\System32\ntdll.dll Registers: EAX=011e0178 ECX=00000000 EDX=058a9c90 EBX=011e0000 ESI=058a9c90 EDI= 0000006e EBP=0012f5b0 EIP=77f52cd2 ESP=0012f3bc CS= 0000001b SS= 00000023 Flags=00010246 DS= 00000023 ES= 00000023 FS= 0000003b GS= 00000000 Float Save: Control Word= ffff027f Status Word= ffff4020 Tag Word=ffffffff Error Offset= 00663e09 Error Selector=008b001b Data Offset= 00c984a0 Data Selector= ffff0023 Cr0NpxState= 00000000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 89 41 04 8a 56 05 88 55 a3 0f b7 0e 8b 45 e4 29 48 28 89 75 8c c6 46 05 01 0f b7 1e 8b 4d c4 2b Call stack: Address Frame Logical addr Module 77F52CD2 0012F5B0 0001:00001CD2 C:\WINDOWS\System32\ntdll.dll 77C2AC14 0012F5F0 0001:00019C14 C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcrt.dll 77C2AC2A 0012F8DC 0001:00019C2A C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcrt.dll 07649D0B 0012F908 0001:00008D0B C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmusic.dll 07653827 0012FBE0 0001:00012827 C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmusic.dll 07649D1A 018E4D00 0001:00008D1A C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmusic.dll If anyone understands this, please help!!!

Looks like you maybe one of your system dlls itself is corrupted. Maybe SX uses some obscure functionality in these dlls which other progs don't. dmusic.dll relates to DirectMusic and msvcrt is the MS Visual C Runtime Library. You could fix the former possibly by reinstalling DirectX and the latter just by copying in a correct file. Not sure about ntdll.dll though, think that's some low level system stuff. If you have a system restore point maybe you could try restoring to a point before your SX misery?

Re-install it.It will save your personal stuff.

NTDLL is a system DLL that is usually called to create new processes from what I can see. |
