AuthorTopic: Importing Logic Audio *.PST Files into Cubase SX???

Hello everyone,

I have a little problem.

A friend of mine gave me his settings of a free VST-Instrument, I loaded them into Logic Audio without no problem, I changed something at the patch and tried to send him the file back. I forgot that Logic Audio saved the VST settings into his own format and Cubase SX can`t load them, is there a way converting the *.pst File into Cubase SX *.fxp/*.fxb? Would be great, otherwise I have to send him everytime a email with the things I have changed!

I've never heard of a conversion utility. I'm not sure if it would work, but perhaps you could try something like Chainer or EnergyXT to save an .fxb file? Dunno, you didn't say if you were on Mac or PC so this info might be useless.

good luck anyhoo...

Hi Frank, over the years Steinberg and Emagic have always been fierce competitors (AFAIK), and never made it easy for us users to swap files. The only types of file they can exchange are .wav and .mid which doesn't help you very much.

The Chainer option is probably best for you as it will open as a VST in Logic, then you can load you synth into Chainer, tweak away, and save .fxp or .fxb files.

Thanx a lot, I will take a look at these chainer thing, thanx.

You are fucking right with "Emagic vs. Steinberg", they really thought one single second about us, the users who probably buy they stuff...! That's the way every company is going in today's world...! Lame! Sad

Thanx, people.
