AuthorTopic: FL Studio Misleading News Post on KvR

From the KvR Homepage:

"The biggest addition to the FL Studio v4.5.1 arsenal is the new Sytrus soft synth, boasting: six operators each with additive harmonics, subtractive synthesis, FM synthesis, ring modulation and a very comprehensive and intuitive modulation matrix."

and

New in v4.5.1:

* New Sytrus generator!

Ahem ........
Is this an official press release? (im only the Mod ...i don't update the News)

It's a Demo of Sytrus is it not ?
This News article makes it look like it is included.

I think it is wrong to mislead me and others like this.

Get the Facts straight ....and perhaps add the word "Demo" to the news article.
Bahhhhh

On the FL webpage it makes it clear that Sytrus is optional. And the upgrade is free, so it's not like folks are going to get misled into paying an upgrade fee for a synth they don't get... but yeah, that's not the official press release, I don't think, on the KVR-VST mainpage.

Well, FL seems like a vehicle for demo city these days, you never actually get what you think youre getting, unless you bung out extra bux....

def a detail that should be clarified tho.

Yeah, this version's a little light on new features if you don't care about Rewire. However, the arpeggiator's auto-mode is very usefull. And though it's not free, Sytrus is extremely powerfull and very reasonably priced when compared to FM7.

Despite the naysayers, the FL Studio XXL 40% off deal is generous and in the end, the value is great.

We choose to make FL modular & keep it affordable for everyone. All 25.000 users use it differently (Some are into audio recording, some are into beatslicing, some just just it as a sketch path, ...).

The reason we include the demo generators (other than commercial) is that it allows you to enjoy/check out the songs others have produced as well.

Anyway : If you want all the generators just get FL Studio XXL and get FL Studio Producer Edition + all the synths for $267 instead of $445. Wait ... now it's too expensive I guess Confused

Don't know what you're aiming at but I don't send any press releases. Anyway : There must be a page in the contact & press section of the site that has the press releases & where you can subscribe to them.

I am getting at the fact I sent you a couple of emails regarding news and articles to be featured at my site – and you did acknowledge you received them but in no way mention what you have just written – bearing in mind I have gone out of my way to promote FL studio on a number of occasions – I find it – well (who cares Rolling Eyes )

Best regards,

Do you have any idea how many mails we're getting every day ? (Without the spam) We're getting (and try to respond to) over 250 mails/day 7 days/week.

I'm quite sure I forwarded your request to the persons involved but as they're getting the same number of mails it must have slipped through.

See ya,

I too was a little confused about the sytrus upgrade. It said optional not demo. There's a difference.
