have the fixed the snap to grid issue yet? i.e. can you just select a simple snap method from a drop down menu like 1/16, 1/32, 1 bar etc, or do you still have to go into the ridiculous snap config utility?
Robert Randolph
Posted: 7th January 2004 06:12
Uh you've always been able to easily select

well obviously since you've had it then. the versions i tried never had an easy snap select, i even wrote to samp about it and they replied and confirmed that there was no simple way to do this like in other hosts. maybe they got wise. i'll download the demo and see

ctrl-shift-r. It has a number of bars/partitions deal, which is what I beleive you're looking for. fast and flexible. My offer is still valid Smile Email me with any questions at all! Ill offer personal support to help you set it up and become accustomed to some of the features/methods Smile Can most certainly do anything cubase can for midi, except midi FX.

ctrl/shift/R snap-select was present in samplitude 6.0.

it was also described in quite a detail in manual.

actually - how else could you effectively and in-context use the *t* and *ctrl/F* command while editing/remixing an audio track?

but, I agree, it's such a pain, everytime you want to switch snap-modes, you have to press THREE buttons on the keyboard ... damn Germans!!!! They did it just for their own amusement and strictly not-to-be user friendly.

You guys talking about snaping midi notes, or audio objects? midi is 100x easier, its just a drop down box iirc.

Its not a vst.

And i do use tracktion, and always have nearly everyday. Unfortunately samplitude has some oh-so minor issues that are causing me a great headache, I beleive I explained in an earlier post. So, as much as I wish not to, I must move off samplitude for the sake of this project, and due to lack of funds at this moment... i gotta sell in order to pickup the necassary tool(s) to make the session go forward. Though I am not at all happy, samplitude is really, really awesome.

Oh btw, I was goign to upgrade to seqouia, but I was unable to get my questions answered by the dealer in a timely fashion. So I decided to move on rather than fool with this upgrade stuff, especially since they do not offer a crossgrade or upgrade discount.

*edit* i finally got that response. 1500$ for the upgrade. If no one decides to purchase (and I assume that highly unlikely) that maybe my only option... and a short bank loan Sad
