well I was hoping that when 4.5 came out and they said that the Arpeggiator now had an 'auto' mode that they were finally fixing the most obvius limitation of the FL arp- the lack of a LATCH so your hands and controller can be free after an arpeggio is activated-
but alas 'auto' just seems to be another arpeggio progression mode- does anyone know of ANY way to make the FL arp latch like it should? or are you stuck with trying to use a sustain pedal? [blechh

I havent had the chance to try the sustain pedal yet. But it would be cool to have support for it since FL is my favorite host for sketching ideas. and I own Steinberg the Grand and its a shame I cant use it properly. Hmmm but overall, I'm happy with FL. So much for less than 200 bucks, to me its a damn good deal. Steal should I say. NEway, if anyone has luck with the sustain pedal please reply.

You can usesustain pedal (cc#64) on any VSTi that supports it, not with FL plugins To do so, load a MIDI out channel and configure any knob you like to respond to cc#64 then configure it so it sends cc#64 as well, then hook up the MIDI channel and the VSTi by choosing a common MIDI port. IL said that they were going to add sustain functionality on the future, I think they have to add it on a clever way because sometimes you find useful to use the pedal to start the rotary speaker on an organ (B4 or ZR1/ZR3) |
