a freind of mine gets these jobs.. He does the music at home on a Triton V3 then brings it over. We take decisions on the sound patches.. then dump... i mix... Now hez rather tired of lugging aroung that keyboard. so were looking at aternatives. One is him purchasing a lappy. Dumping at home and getting it over to mix... i dont like that cause then im stuk with what he dumped. the other is that he sends me the midi file.. and i remap at my end using VSTi's and rewire applications... the problem is with the drummapping...
how wud u guyz go about it..? or do i ask him to now sequence exclusively using the GM bank. But then how do i incorporate it..??? and it is limited. thanks a ton.. Sidhu p.s. i need to start playing the keys... where do i start.?

Get a keyboard. Actually just steal your friends' Triton. He won't miss it. I like this page for the intro stuff. After that you have to pay. http://www.learnpianoonline.com/login.html There are a ton of books you could buy too of course. I don't think you'll have a tough time getting started.
