Hi,
Does anyone know of an editor on OSX which allows you to view and edit the midi root note info for WAV and AIFF files? Better still, does anyone know a freeware app that will do this? Also does anyone know of a freeware app for Windows that will do this? I'd very much appreciate anyones help on this. (Apologies if this is the wrong forum - couldn't really think of a more appropriate one.) Thanks very much, Ben

I don't completely understand.... Where's the MIDI root note in a WAV or AIFF?? Those are RAW audio formats, isn't it?

wav properties extension from the utilities page at http://www.mda-vst.com will do this for .wav - dont know about .aiff though
(windows only too) EDIT - should have read closer - this only allows you to view the info not edit it slainte

OK, I get it. Those MIDI root data samplers read on a RAW file, as metadata. Sound Forge can read it and edit it on a PC, I don't know what happens on the MAC... Regards!

Most of the usual (pay) editors can do this. But I think the main thrust here is for a freeware solution.
