for those of you interested in what the QS sounds like, You can listen to my song. Seattle Tsunami at www.mp3.com/sundancemacabre
It is meant to sound like an 80's video game. Most of the sounds come from the QS dw

Fun stuff! I especially dig the breakdown.
So, how about some specs... What host are you using? What are you using for the "Kraftwerk-esque" vocoder? Good luck on getting that ball, Brittnell

hey Brit thanks for giving it a listen.
I used the electrix warp factory for all vocoded voices. It f*in sweet if you like that kind of thing. ONly 99 buck at MF right now. The broadcaster part was done by my friend with a pitch shift +5 in SF. The rap part was done by me with a pitch shift -5 in SF. Ive never used pre made loops in my songs before, but I was in a hurry and I confess I used two pre made loops in the middle where the robot sound says "let me hear you say SEATTLE TSUNAMI" and two drum fills in the song as well, I put those in there and just fell in love. As far as the rest, the little video game fx all came from the QS, The first and second bass lines came from the QS as well. The high pitched solo part was from the QS. I did all the midi programing in ORION, and exported each part loop to a wav. I then, sequenced them in ACID, then I mastered in ORION, and SF. there you have it, and I hope I get the ball, but I'm not holding my breath. I want to send it to local radio stations but I have not gotten around to it yet. later dw |
