AuthorTopic: Tuning Problem EXSP24

Hi !

I have a problem with the tuning running Emagicīs EXSP24 under Cubase 5.
When I start Cubase, run the EXSP as an Instrument and loading some Soundfonts, the tuning is not ok. I have to set the fine-tuning to -25 to -30.
But: sometimes the tuning comparing to my hardware synths is ok.

Has anyone a solution for this problem or the same experience ?

Thanks in advance

Jim

I don't know... but I do know that in EXS24 and ES1, they go out of tune when you're running a crack, by about 30-40 cents. I couldn't say whether that's the problem here, but suffice it to say, if that's NOT your situation, then Emagic support might be able to help you out.

since i am not aware of the Cubase-ish ins- and outs- , i can only try to help out, based on my LAP experience.

# switch samplerate back and forth (48 >44>4Cool
# switch sound output back and forth (SM>ASIO>SM)
# in the EXS24 editor, open a region, select all [cmnd-a] and press [cmnd-shift] whilst pressing loop on/off.

now, if non of these help...let me know.

Yes,......Ive also had tuning problems before!!!!...........
sometimes I make a mix and play it on say winamp/etc......
then i go to the song and everything has pitched itself a semi-tone up??"thats the one thing...."....................
and then when im using a loop from a sound-font,it seems to change its pitch/timing everytime I load the song..??.......

Sometimes when I compare a wave file running through my hardisk(plain),
and then thru my sampler pitch free, and found that the sampler
may be -20,-30 cents off or so!!!!........-(wierd!!!)

I dont know if u r xperiencing these problems...??....and
I also know some one else who has the same problem..!!

Plaese fill me in!!!!!!!!!

Hi winlogic

thatīs the same problem I have.
But: I tried to do some changes like yoshiTA told before.
And: I succed. If I change the sampling rate in Cubase VST/32 5.0 R6 from 44,1 to 48 and back, the tuning is perfect.
But, itīs not practicle to do this everytime I load a song.

Any other solutions ??
