Hi i just bought Reaktor3 for PC,from native instruments.Im running win2000,with cubase5r6,sw1000xg soundcard with win2000 asio drivers.I installed a stand alone version an as VST instrument in cubase 5.The stand alone version works fine, but when i open it up as a vst instrument in cubase5, i open a preset library file in Reaktor,an get the following error......
A SERIOUS PROBLEM HAS ACCURED,PLEASE TRY TO SAVE UNDER ANOTHER NAME,AN RESTART CUBASE. G:\PROGRAME FILES\STEINBURG\CUBASE VST5\CUBASE.LOG When i hit a note on my midi keyboard i get an input/output signal in the cubase transport bar but no sound? I do have other VST instuments installed and have no problems with those.Only reaktor3. Please can you kindly advise. Regards Dem.

Hi Dem...
A few things for you... -Is Reaktor 3 VST doing this with any ensemble you try to load? Are there any specific ensembles that do or do NOT work? -Make sure you are running the latest v3.02 (build 004) for Reaktor 3 which is downloadable from our website. This update addresses some initial problems with VST support. -Try switching Cubase to use the DirectX drivers for your Yamaha card to see if the problem is due to something with the ASIO driver. -Is this problem happening when starting from a brand new song (project) in Cubase? Or are you having this problem trying to load R3 into an existing song with other plugins loaded? Sometimes, song files with lots of plugings can become corrupted and will cause problems with other plugins when attempting to load them. It's always good to start from scracth when troubleshooting a problem. Try from a brand new song and see what your results are. At the moment, Im unable to reproduce this problem on several test systems with the current R3.02 version and VST 5.0r6 on Windows 2000 (most of my testing and support is down on Win2k). Get back to me with answers to my question and we can dig deeper into the problem. peace.

Hi Omar,
Thanx for your reply, heres the anwswers to your qustions: 1)yes i get the errors with all ensembles i load even starting from scratch. 2)Im running the latest cubase5 r6,and reaktor 3.02 build 004,still i have the same problem. 3)yamaha card dos not suport directx i tried an sblive and still had the same problem. 4)yes this problem accurs when starting a new song from scratch.Ihave no previous songs as this is the first time im using reaktor with cubase. 5)The essemble dose load up but i get the error message, and i get a midi input/output signal in cubase transport bar,but no sound from reaktor or any input /output midi signals from reaktor menu bar. When using reaktor as vst in cubase it should automatically pick up the sound card settings.ALL other vst instruments work fine but not reaktor3? My set up is pIII 800MHZ,384MB ram,26 GB hard disk,SW1000XG,an150plg card,win2000,asio driver for win2000,SBlive,midi keyboard, phatboy midi controller,32mb matrox graphics card. I will email u the Cubase error log as mentioned in my previous message. Regards DMANX.

Hi,Omar.
I think? Ihave solved the problem with Reaktor3 as vst IN Cubase5.I had one last go at it an it worked...well i hope so? I uninstalled reaktor an cubase an reinstalled (a clean freash install) and had no errors.I made shure that reaktor was the first vst instrument to be installed in cubase, cos due to the error log there was an access violation.May be it was clashing with other installed vst instrumenst? However it was well worth a try. |
