AuthorTopic: Virtual Sampler what version ?

I have hmmmmd and arrrrrd about buying Halion
for a while , the price tag and the bundled sample
library been my bone of contention, I would much
rather have the option of my own choice of samples
that I know I would use. The thing that attracted
me to Halion is disk streaming ( I know giga does this also)
I don't know why Virtual Sampler had been escaping my
notice ( or if I had been confusing it with Vsamp )
but I am aware of it now and quite excited especially
as I have just read a post that says v2.7 does disk
streaming.
I have looked on the site and can only see v2.65 is
v2.7 available now ?

and I have seen posts mentioning v3.0, how imminent is v3.o ?

Thanks
Regards Raven

v2.7 is available from the beta download page - http://www.maz-sound.com/vsampler/english/beta.html remember its still in beta. As for v3.0 only Maz can comment on that one...

Also try SamplerChan, no disk streaming but RAM is so darned cheap these days who needs it?? - www.samplerchan.com

Yeah I'll be buying RAM for all those RAM starved desperadoes, roll up for free memory
NOT!

Actually I'm about to build a new PC, after an aborted attempt last month when I had all sorts of problems which I won't go into here, suffice to say I sent it all back and got a refund...

I was going to go for 512MB but 1GB seems more sensible now. Even here in the UK where prices are renowned for being higher than most of Europe, let alone America, 1GB of RAM can be got for less than £150 on 2 512 DDR DIMMs or less than £120 on 4 256 DDR DIMMs!!
