Hi there,
I'v seen the following question posted on the cubase forum
and so far no one has answered.
Is it possible to copy a cell from one battery kit to another?
Of course individual samples can be copied etc.. but it's a huge
hassle to have to manually set up all the various cell parameters.
If anyone has a way of doing this please share it with all
us meagre mortals.
Thanks

Hi grobschnitt

This is something we are already working on for a future update. We definitely agree that it's a hassle to really manuever cells from one kit to another without any additional management features.

We'll let you guys know once we release this. As for now, there are no definite time-frames or release dates. So just keep your eyes peeled

peace.

Hi Omar,

Once I only tried to copy one cell to the one beside it, and it messed up with root keys etc, I can't remember exactly how it was.

Is this feature implemented yet?

Hi vhollo...

Can you be more explicit when you say "it messed up with root keys"? Exactly, what do you mean by "messed up"?

The ability to choose rootkey+keyrange as your drag-n-drop option is a fucntional feature in the current version.

peace.

How in hell's name do you actually COPY a cell? Drag and Drop only seems to MOVE the Cell?

You have the option to choose "swap" or "copy" for the drag-n-drop feature. The option for this is found in....go figure...the options panel!

The Battery KIT-Format is saved as an XML-File so you can edit Kits with a Text- or a XML-Editor. Maybe you can copy and paste a cell in this way, but i'm not sure, i have never tested this.

Steffen
