ˇObrigado Walter!
What a pleasure to find someone who lives near my home, (relatively speaking)...
The southern hemisphere seems somewhat empty of people, compared to the other when surfing the web...
I live in Uruguay.
Well...I currently own an old DM-5 which I consider a good drum triggering unit...(it has the same or a very similar engine as the D4 if I'm not wrong)
While it's sounds are a little dated in contrast with what you can have this days on wav's samples, I still find it very useful for my general work, taking aside the cymbals which are among the worst I've heard from any drum module.
But this is the rule for all the old modules...
Thanks for your efforts!, I'll download it right now...
It's nice to have the same sounds on soundfont!
No more cables to mess around!
Un abrazo.

That's really interesting. I would love to get the kicks and snares from the D4. But all I see when following the link is an empty directory? Something wrong?

Sincerely

THE GREAT LIE ABOUT FREE SITES:
Angel fire said that they give you 30 MB of free web etc.. etc...
Ok!!
I put my little poor soundfont of 11 mb there and 4 hour later they blew my site allegging copyright infringement.
These guys are crazy.
I send them a letter complaining that the bots that control the access of free sites are crazy.
If I have a site with some access do I have to pay to put a free work of mine there .... Its ridiculous
So the free web space is not so free ... Free if nobody access.
If you have some access they accuse you of infringement of terms
Which terms
They didnt explain...
My photo was dressed
The D4 I own
The soundfont I did
GO TO HELL ANGELFIRE
Sorry people for that...
As soon as I get a reliable honest free space i'll put my soundfonts again
I have all my Yamaha SY 22 presets in a 40 MB soundfont
A full DM5 Alesis to finish and a lot of presets of DW8000 Korg and VirusAccess.
Blame to Angelfire that accused me of...
Nothing...
Sites for free with no access -that's the hidden clausule-
If two people access you in a day to download a 11 mb file they suppose that you are doing warez but... they didnt check your site.
The bot ban you via statistics.
In those time that are easy accuse people without proof Angelfire is just playing the bad game.
Keep you informed when I put MY SOUNDFONTS back to web again

Regards and sorry

Hi guys
Its an old work i did when I sold my beloved D4 Drum Module
This soundfont has all the samples and all 21 original drumkits like on the original instrument.
I put togheter another kit with Kicks and Snares.
D4 was a great drum module when released and its variety of sounds( + than 500) make it a good resource till today.
http://www.angelfire.com/ab6/walterjrzz/

Its about 12 MB compressed and I feel its very useful on Orion,BS-1,Virtual Sampler,Battery and other soundfonts support devices.
Soon I'll up another soundfonts clones.

Hi Walter Jr,

if you want a free webspace (I mean really free!) then you should try this french site: Free Website. My drum kits are stored there, have been downloaded a huge number of time, and I've never had a problem like you had with angelfire. Oh and there are no ads too
and no bandwidth limit

If you really don't understand French, you can try Freedom2Surf. Great service too but I can't tell about bandwidth limit and so on, because I've not really tested.

Good luck!

I've removed the file from the reFX.net server, since it's available elsewhere.

Hey Walter,

Check out the guys at http://www.artistcollaboration.com

They give you 50 Mb webspace and some facilities to host your own page there. It's really free and no stupid rules, only that your content has to be music related

This is very interesting! I just recently almost bought myself a D4 just to be able to sample it. I'll send you feedback as soon as I tried it out.

Great!!! I have grabbed a lot of your nices drumloops
Thanks very much

About use of soundfonts in vsti seems that BS-1,Battery,Halion,EXS24P and Built-in Sampler of Orion all read this format.
Anyways if you prefer just the waves try to decompile the soundfont on Vienna or Awave for example and you will have the wavesets

Walter Jr-

As I read this thread, I was really excited about trying out your soundfonts. Then I went to download them and found that you compressed them in a PC-only format. Mac users are left out in the cold again ...

You are a true hero Walter! I imported it into HALion and it works, sounds and feels great!

I've got a weakness for old digital drum machines so an comprehensive AlesisD4 sample set is like heaven for me. I'm looking forward using these samples in my music.

Once again thank you, and keep up the good work!

Sincerely

Hey Mooseman, thanks for the pointer. Received my review copy of Battery a week ago but didn't have the time yet to test it. Indeed it can load SF2 files so this D4 soundfont will be I nice test for it (I have a real D4 too by the way).
