I use Phatsync all the time. Excellent little effect.

(Does anyone know if Angus has included this sort of thing in his DR-008?)

Istyle, just use it as an insert on an audio track and twiddle the sliders. (By the way Angus, as a thought, you couldn't modify the gui to allow you to 'draw' a curve in - much the same as in Orion-Pro? It would be so much easier to adjust the sliders).

That's more-or-less right for PhatSync; MidiComb also needs to be sent MIDI data from a track or realtime MIDI input (like you would for a VSTi) to set the pitch and gate for the comb resonators. The best way to start with it is to set up a fairly minimalist drum beat audio track, insert the MidiComb and activate it; assign a MIDI track's output to the MidiComb (which should now appear as a MIDI destination, like a VSTi), and then start playing it from your MIDI keyboard while the audio runs.

Horse - certainly, that's one of the _many_ enhancements planned for Series One v2 (actually v2 is a complete rewrite)... still a little way off though.
