My theory now is to not buy stuff from "companies" who got bad support (or even not support at all) , try emailing a second time (server could have got a prob) , if he don't answer don't go further ... don't forget that you still don't even have the synth, think if one day you got a prob. with the synth you bought and need support.

There's lotsa others companies who got nice support, like Fxpansion, Muon, Izotope, Waldorf etc... and even Steinberg in their own forums.

Regards

PS: I just wanted to add that I don't say jasonsynth stuff is bad (I never tried)! You could have bad support , but amazing products

Hi ttoz
Keep in mind what zdar said But if you would like to translate that web page there is a program called Copernic, its main function is to search multiple search engines simultaineously giving much better search results. An added bonus is that it installes a translation icon in your web browser, if you open a web page that has a language that is foreign to you, you can click on the icon and it will bring up
a page with translation options. I think it does 7 languages.
"Copernic 2001" is free and accesses about 80 search engines
"Copernic 2001 plus" is about $39 an accesses about 1000
search engines. It's excellent !

I'm sure Copernic is nice software, but for the time being Altavista's translater is free and works good enough for things such as this.Go to Altivista and find the translater section and just type the URL you want translated.

I was a beta tester for Rebel and we were supposed to get a free final copy once it was done and I never got mine. I emailed jason but never got a reply. He definately does not know how to run a business.

I mailed them asking about the Rebel2 demo and never got a reply. And now, the removement of FreeSonic shows that this company is not interested to be be customer friendly.

That's enough for me. If they don't want me to be their customer, that's not my problem...

Oh ... I really think Jason should take sometimes to comments on this topic.

Because his "company" is getting a really bad reputation.

Just my 0.2$

Rebel just crashes when Cubase is launched on my PC anyway
Still there are plenty more instruments in the sea, as it were

I have decided against the whole idea...I couldn't even be bothered anymore...he has taked freesonic of his site as we all know and I thought why waste my time and write him another email??? It's proves how ignorant the company is by having an order page in german only anaywya, when they can clearly speak English considering the rest of the site is in english...
This guy just doesn't want to sell his products..period

It's lame because freesonic is a very slick sounding (if not yet fully optimized?) vsti. I think it's weird how the site dosent even specify what music magazine it will be included with.. plus it was already there free, if you do that, and then take it off, that's a bad move i think. Rebel is even more strange from what i heard out of it, i think it is quite evil sounding. But oh well, it's somewhat of a cpu hog anyway. Needs optimized more or something. It's a quirky bugger, my impression. *the 16-part multitimberal version wouldnt make sense unless you have some serious hardware! Good concept tho.. *

But as you guys have said, well, the other developers out there know that the consumers of vsti's are what matters and they act that way.. maybe !jasonsynth will learn from this?? They seem a little self-absorbed or somthing at this point...

INTERFACE, Dutch Music Technlology Magazine 9/2001

CUBASE MAGAZINE, Italian Cubase and Audio Magazine 9/2001

Pity about this guy because the rebel synth was looking like a pretty unique buy - no samey sounds there.

I hope he gets his act together and really produces. I'm sure my music could be better for it.

By the way, I was trying out this rebel 2 demo the other day in fruity loops 3 and Logic audio 4.7, but I only seem to get sound from the left channel on both hosts. Am I doing somthing wrong or what?
