Just want to let people know that installing the NI Battery patch 1.01 will cause more problems than fixes (PC)
I lost all outputs but the main stereo and i can't get back to the 1.0 version when trying to uninstall the patch and re-installing the original program. Am i the only one experiencing such a problem?

There's a bit of a weird thing going on in that:
If you save a song using battery with one configuration of outputs, then change the configuration, then load the song again, it crashes Battery then fatal exceptions VST. Then you have to remove the .dll file from the plugins directory, run VST, open the song, wait for the error message to say Battery can't be found, re-load Battery with the new configuration of outputs and ...erm that's about it. It sounds like installing the latest version of Battery has probably reset the default outputs causing the above problem. I think someone mentioned that it would be a nice idea to be able to save the output configuration with the song. I have a similar problem in that I send song files to someone else who uses Battery, but because our output configurations aren't matched we keep encountering this problem as well. Apart from that, it's great. H

The same thing happened to me. Here's a creative workaround.
When I first got Battery I configured my default kit, outputs panning etc and saved it. Upon installing the update it shot back to a single stereo out, although the panning was still in place. After fiddling around a bit I discovered that if you reconfigure the number of outputs in Battery to how you previously had it, using the 'options' button on the right hand side, and then reload the kit everything goes back to how it was originally set up. Hope that helps. Dom

While we are on this subject - is there an easy way to layer up a new cell? ie; I want to add a 10 wav's multisampled tambourine from one of the other kits; if you select the 10 wav's using 'Add New Layer(s)' they just seem to get dumped at random within the cell and you can't move them about once they're there.
That means you have to load them in the right order one at a time, going round the 'File > Add New Layers > Select the file etc loop 10 times! Is it not possible to organise layers once they are placed within a cell (dragging a layer up & down within the list would be handy)? Arrgh, now I want to set all the velocity splits for the multilayering; I expected 'Alt & drag' from a similar cell to copy the velocity splits as well (just to speed things up) - BUT THEY DON'T! Does that mean that you have to set these up individually as well? I think this is a really nice bit of kit, and I'm hoping someone will tell me that I'm doing things arse about face (as usual); there has to be a quick way to mix and match kits??????????
