http://people.freenet.de/apslive/ Has any one tried or heard anything about the SoundBlaster live ASIO driver found at the above link?Yes I know the SBLive is not the best card for VSTi purposes but this driver claims 8ms latency among other features.I have downloaded it but wanted to ask the experts here for their opinions before installing. Also can any one explain why I get almost zero latency when playing VSTi synths using Fruity Loops 3.0 as a host but when using CubeBasis inwire the latency is so bad I can hit a key and go for coffee before a sound is made?I have tried every tweak inside of Cubasis with no luck. Thanks for your help!

Hi Marc555
There not perfect but they are much better than
the official Creative drivers if you want low latency
I use them myself and believe they are popular with
other users !

Well I'm not an expert, but they work fine for me. I didn't even get my SBlive running with the official drivers, so this was a great solution for me. But that's a different topic...

I don't know about Cubasis or FL, but on my PC the ASIO doesn't work in Orion Pro with the apsdrivers. I got them running a few times @ 8ms, but at low latency it crashes Orion too often. I run directx drivers and with not too heavy cpu load I get about 18ms latency quite stable.

Just try them..
