No, the site was there when I posted the news

They had a page detailing the banks too. The release date is early October (4th I think)

I saw the site yesterday before it went down: the release date is October 9th.

They had an MP3 of the new Nu-Tron sounds, and they sound great! They listed the various sounds, and many of them are also coming from the Chamberlain (the early American version of the Mellotron) as well as the Birotron (which, if I remember right, was originally designed and built for Rick Wakeman when he was with Yes, and was build around tape cartridges (kinda like an old 8-track player) instead of the individual tape-strips like the original Mellotron).
For examples of what the Chamberlain sounds like, check out Patrick Warren's excellent Chamberlain playing on Michael Penn's various CD's: it's like a Mellotron and works on the same kind of principle, but has a bit of a unique flavor of its own too...I'm really glad they're putting the sounds on the Nu-Tron banks.

The site also had a cool little Quicktime movie of them recording the sounds for the Nu-Tron "tapes" from an old Mellotron, and you can see what total pain in the ass it was to change and load all those tape-strips...yikes!! Makes you really appreciate that there's a virtual software-based version now...

When the site goes back up, check out that Quicktime movie...it's kind of scary (LOL).

yes, yes - a bit strange.

When I read the news-message about their new tapebanks I got to their site, and it was working. But I didnīt find a single word about the new banks..

Know what?
I suppose Ben is that fast that they canīt follow...hehe

But I am also looking forward buying those new sounds for my wonderful M-Tron.
Uhhh, I love it!

Finally the GMedia site is up. I'm not sure if I will purchase the new tapes though. Seems like an awful lot of choirs and voices. Not really useful for me.

My bad: it's shipping Oct. 7th, not the 9th. Ooops...

Yeah, a lot of choirs/vocals effects this time; I'm always finding good uses for that sort of thing though, so I don't mind that myself.

I'm really curious about some of the Chamberlin sounds: I've always kind of liked the sound of that thing, as it's a bit different from the usual Mellotron. And some of the string, harp and organ sounds I heard on the demo MP3 sound intreging...

The site's back up and the sounds look good to me. I love the tron to death and have used it on a couple of released tracks.

My order's in and I cant wait.....
