AuthorTopic: I have a problem, I need help

Okay, following :

I have Cubase VST5 32 R6, lots and lots of VSTis etc etc.
I have a PIII 500MHz with 256 MB RAM, a Soundblaster 128PCI Soundcard, nVidia Riva TNT2 M64 graphicscard.

According to Sandra Analytic Program, I have only 52% true allocated memory load.

I even upgraded from 128 to 256 a couple of days ago, but I still have the same problem

When I try to run 8 VST instruments at one go, mainly 1 RMF with about 10 drum samples, and Pro52/JX Synth, with a couple of effect machines (Frohmage, Steinberg Delays etc etc (all automated) I get stuttering towards the middle of the song and from there on. I have my VST Usage indicator on, and the CPU bar keeps hitting red and blinking, whereas my DISK indicator is not showing (coz I´m really using samples)

On top of all that whenever I try to shut my PC down after using Cubase I always get a Blue Error screen stating a vxd problem at addresse such and such. This happens when I try to restart my PC aswell, but with less problems

Does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone know how to solve it?

e.g. ist it a CPU problem, or a RAM problem, soundcard problem??? I`m lost, thats why I`m turning to you guys.
Hopefully someone can help.

Thanks in advance

Its a cpu problem
I had a p111 450 with only 128ram and was able to run 8 vsti instances no problem.
But if youv got a high voice count on your vsti's this takes more juice and adding effects also hits the cpu hence your problem!
Iv seen a couple of posts regarding the blue screen issue on cubase which only seems to happen with r6 I suggest you post on cubase.net on the cubase for windows forum.
