If you can wait a few weeks you can surely purchase FM7 for less than the $299 US msrp (though not less than the $50 retail on FMHeaven). A quick caveat emptor: Shop around and never buy direct.

A sampling of NI products at some online sites:
www.audiomidi.com has Absynth listed at $229 although a post here cited a much lower price at Mars Music ($139 the going price for B4, Pro52, Battery and Dynamo). You now need to email Mars for their price on Absynth, http://www2.marsmusic.com/store/product_new.jhtml?prodid=14216&catid=2 309&skuid=0&_requestid=13832 .

Spektral Delay is going for $299 on NI's site, $229 at www.audiomidi.com but only $139 at www.samash.com.

When a company that distributes it's software in boxes quotes a price on it's product don't take that price seriously....depending on where you live you usally pay far less, but in some rare cases, far more than the msrp (suggested retail price).

Did they(N.I.) change their minds suddenly? In a recent press release and a visit to their site last night(Oct.16)they give "some time" in November as a release date. This product was also announced quite a long time ago then held up.I get the feeling that buying now equals a pre order and an undermined wait.
