I have created a patch on the CM101 that has a warbling lfo square wav. I want this to sync to the beat if possible. I can't figure out how to do it.
thanks dw | |

You can't figure it out because it can't be done.
Helpful hint: 120bpm song = LFO of 2.00Hz 130bpm song = LFO of 2.16Hz 140bpm song = LFO of 2.33Hz just take bpm and divide by 60 to get the lfo rate which will sync to the beat. But to answer the original question their is no auto sync feature on the CM101. KriminalK

one suggestion would be to edit events and notes in a piano roll.....

thanks, but I still can't get it to match up perfectly. That is a good tip though.
Only problem is the cm101 filter goes up in steps so I get somewhere in the middle instead of dead on and the drums and the synths float out of time. thanks again dw

Sorry but the LFO's on CM101 can't sync to tempo, and not all hosts can send tempo information either.
A couple of things - you can increase the "fine-ness" of CM101's controls just by holding down the shift-key when you drag. This makes smaller adjustments easier. The other thing is that if you want a filter sweep over a long period of time like several bars it is almost certainly easier to grab the pencil tool and draw in a controller curve in the MIDI CC editor. Check your CM101 manual for details of the CC numbers. Hope this helps Dave Muon Software Ltd www.muon-software.com |
