AuthorTopic: VST 5.1 and freebies?

I welcome any rumoured upgrade that gives me a whole clutch of freebie synths and fx ... who wouldn't.

It won't be hard to guess that the the follow-on will probably be a whole wave of JX/autopole/phatsync sounding tunes appearing everywhere.

Maybe no bad thing, but I suspect it'll eventually put a premium on synths that don't sound like this, like Reactor, like Pro-52, like Pentagon, like QuadraSid.

Be interesting to see where this leads.

Has anyone else any predictions as to the effect of all these high quality freebies on music making?

Well kevvvvv these aren't exactly freebies are they, you still have to own Cubase which isn't cheap.

I predict that some people will use them and think they're cool and others will dismiss them as *freebies* and not bother.
