Hate the GUI.

One of the reasons I never purchased Rainbow is that after I saw what the plans were for the GUI in version 3, I decided I wasn't interested.

However, my main questions are really going to be:

1) How does it compare with the Logic thing and more importantly with mda ePiano.

2) Can you link the parameters to midi controllers?

Wow I've never been soo let down by an instrument before. I was hoping this was going to be the VST Wurlitzer I've been hoping for, for ages, but no. This little VSTi obviously uses FM synthesis to produce it's sounds, and I hate FM! with a passion. Everything sounds like it come right off something from the Yamaha DX series, and this just isn't for me. I want the natural Wurlitzer sound, and you know you've got it right when you load up a Wurli preset and play the intro riff to Becks Where It's At, and it sounds just like the record. I was thinking this synth was going to involve some sort of physical modelling but it doesn't, it's just FM like I said, so if you're into that then this might be for you. If you want a real Rhodes sound go for either ePiano or the EVP (damn E-magic), if you want a Wurlitzer sound in a VSTi then sadly the wait goes on. This wasn't meant to be a review by the way, I was just really dissapointed, I just wish that FM Synth sound would go away. As for now the demo download is free so by all means try it out, it's not for me, but it might be for you.

It's different :-)

Not, although it could be added easily if required. You can use vst automation though.

Regarding Funkybot comments, I guess he's absolutely right, the synth is FM based and sounds like it. If you hate the FM sound, then the synth is definitely not for you. But actually, I like this sound a lot, probably because I grew up with it ;-)

Thanks for the first comments,

VST automation vs MIDI controllers? Of course MIDI controllers, so start programming.
