AuthorTopic: Pro-52 patch names in Cubase
Raven

With Pro-52 as VST in Cubase I have loaded
a new bank into Pro -52 but the original
patch names still display in the patch name
popup in the Cubase inspector,
I have read the Cubse manual " working
with patch names " and played around with
'patch name source' but I still can't get
the new patch names to display in the popup

can anyone put me right on this please

Raven,

Yeah, Pro-52 patchnames aren't the most intuitive I've ever seen.

Did you load up a VST patch/instrument file or the native Pro-52 file? I think VST ones have the instruments reflected in both the Pro-52 and the VST patchname window, but the Pro-52 file is only reflected in the Pro-52 window. Could be wrong as I only use the VST files when saving patches, and everything's okay doing it that way.

Chris.

Hi Chris
Thanks for your reply, the bank I loaded
was a .p5f file
(MB-MyPro52.p5f downloaded from KVR Banks/Patches to be exact) not a .fxb file.

anyone else got any ideas ?

Thanks
Raven

I'm not sure if it'll make a difference, but what if you load up your .p5f file, then save it as an .fxb file. Load up the fxb file and see if that 'persuades' VST to list the names (seeing as though it's now in its native format.) You never know...
