Swell! Now all I need to do is buy Sample Tank.
Personally I haven't found any sample on the CM CD's which cover my needs; I need samples of accoustic instruments and good old analog synths. Not 162whatever bpm loops, guitar licks, synth chords, etc.

Hiya,

Some of you may notice that two of the '6' are currently available on the sampletank website (bongo's, drums).
This was a bit of a cock up on our part, but we have secured two more instruments making up the allotted 6 and these will be available for download from our website as of next wednesday when issue 41 hits the news stand.
So what that actually means is you get 11 free sampletank instruments, the 3 free piano's, the free bongos and percussion, plus 6 more exclusive instruments, all of which run in our special version of sampletank thats on issue 41's cover CD, and all in time for Xmas!

Not only that but you can upgrade to the full version of sampletank for silly prices - XL at £329 instead of £399 and L for £169 instead of £199 - exclusive to CM readers.

Aint we and the lads at IK multimedia nice to you?

Enjoy.

RED CM rocks, it's really awesome that you're doing you're own free instruments, as well as providing free instruments for free third party programs as well. But please get better US distribution I still haven't found the SR-202 issue (a trip to NYC this weekend should remedy that though). And how about realsing some your own plug-in instruments as DXI's?

RED,
f Is your version of sampletank the same free version that is on the sampletank website?

Hey Funkybot,

Keep it to yourself mate, but we have been chatting to certain parties about the potential to do the DXi thing. Its gotta be the way forward. Have to see how it all pans out and nothing is confirmed but it is forward in our minds - we'll keep you all up to date of cource.

Oh and by the way, those of you who are having problems with SR-202 and certain graphics cards can rest assured that we are on the case for a patch and you should see it in the new year if all goes well.

And then theres the third CM VSTi to come - can we top SR-202? We are sure gonna have a good stab!Times are good

Peace,

Red

Dusted,

The free instruments should work in that version too, although I havent tried it. I expect they do so you should just be able to use the instrument files and copy them into the instruments folder.

I've subscribed to the November issue of CM to get the SR202 several weeks ago, and while I've already been charged for it I still have to receive it. By the way, I live in Italy, not in some remote corner of the world. Red, do you have an address where I can verify if the issue is been mailed to me?

thanks in advance

"Not only that but you can upgrade to the full version of sampletank for silly prices - XL at £329 instead of £399 and L for £169 instead of £199 - exclusive to CM readers."

yes, it would be extremely silly to pay £329 for sampletank.
